Amanda and Andrew have been on of my favorite couples. Flashback to spring 2013 when they won a Pinterest contest I held in conjunction with A Lowcountry Wedding. After getting to know them and learning more about their love story, I had no doubt I was meant to be a part of their special day. The couple met in high school and had their first date at Elmo’s Diner in Durham. Things just clicked and the pair have been together ever since. Andrew has a photojournalist background and Amanda is a pharmacist. Together his artistic free-spirited nature and her fun-loving, detailed oriented ways create a wonderfully balance relationship.
For their wedding they envisioned a romantic and vintage day. The soft warm palette with grey accents complimented the rustic Cotton Dock well. Unique features included family style dining with long tables and a custom made joggling board served as a take home keepsake that guests could pen their well-wishes. After a sit-down Southern dinner and live music from Ultimate Sound Band, Amanda and Andrew had a boat sendoff on the back of the dock. Congratulations Amanda and Andrew!
