This past August I photographed Amanda’s bridal portraits at Boone Hall Plantation. The heat index undoubtedly neared 100 degrees. When temperatures reach unfriendly conditions my first priority is the comfort and safety of my client. For most of the session, I kept Amanda in shade and overexposed the image. My assistant discovered a secondary use for a reflector by using it to fan Amanda between setting up shots. Her mother also brought a handheld fan and we tried to drive to the locations rather than walking the entire grounds. Adapting for the weather paid off because her bridal portraits are stunning.
