This past August I photographed Boone Hall Plantation Bridal portraits with lovely bride-to-be, Amanda. The heat index undoubtedly neared 100 degrees. When temperatures reach unfriendly conditions my first priority is the comfort and safety of my client. For most of the session, I kept Amanda in shade and overexposed the image. My assistant discovered a secondary use for a reflector by using it to fan Amanda between setting up shots. Her mother also brought a handheld fan and we tried to drive to the locations rather than walking the entire grounds. Adapting for the weather paid off because her bridal portraits are stunning.
