Quick portraits have been a bit of a theme since I’ve been home. So, the final one was with my youngest niece, Athena. I waited close to golden hour to take her downtown. Hastily, I walked the historic streets stalking light and would position her wherever warm sunlight was striking. The only downside to waiting to photograph until it’s the best light is that it quickly goes away. A full hour is pure luck. If I get a solid 15 minutes then I consider myself fortunate.
The only bargaining chip I had with her was that the better she behaved and posed, then the faster I would be done. Surprisingly this actually worked.
