This Texas couple met through mutual friends 3 years ago and began dating a year after. They both have a dry, sarcastic humor and are sports fans – Landon hailing from KState and Babette from ASU. She’s known for her adventurous and fun-loving ways while he’s described as easy-going and kind nature.
Babette and Landon planned a whimsical destination wedding in Charleston, SC at the historic Legare Waring House in Charlestowne Landing. Their color palette included soft pinks, light teal, white and grey. Centerpieces embodied a fresh-from-the-graden style with soft pink peonies, white roses, and gyp nestled in a bed of Spanish moss. This floral design encircled a rustic copper lantern. Decor accents included mercury glass candle holders, a vintage white leather lounge set, and hanging chandeliers. Babette’s broach bouquet was designed and created by her mother. To honor her late father and have a part of him with her as she walked down the aisle, Babette wrapped the stem of her bouquet in a piece of fabric from one of his favorite shirts. Scattered spring storms threatened their outdoor soiree, but an hour before the wedding, the rain subsided. After drying the chairs and passing out last-minute umbrellas to guests, Babette and Landon wed beneath a canopy of oak trees. For their wedding they wanted a Charleston casual atmosphere with a modern vintage style. Needless to say their wedding reflected that vision perfectly.
