This year my family held all of our Christmas festivities the day before so everyone could be present. Dinner was at Grandma’s house on a fold out table draped in white, lace-trimmed linen adorned with a carafe of red wine serving as the centerpiece.
My dad is a firm believer that no one should slave in a kitchen on holidays, which is for the best since all hopes for a meal would become my brother’s burden. Instead, sides come from a grocery deli while the main dish was two chicken breasts and two cornish hens, each stuffed with either pecan and rice or shrimp jambalaya.
After dinner, I took a few quick portraits of grandma to go with her updated artist bio. I’ve been working on a redesign to be pasted to the back of her paintings since the previous version is likely a few decades old with yellow marble paper and over embellished font.
Below are a few pics from the day.
