Joy’s and David’s wedding was filled with surprises and beautiful moments. Originally, their intimate wedding was to be set on the beach of Isle of Palms with wedding portraits beforehand. However, Charleston weather is unpredictable even when the report indicates low chances of rain. Needless to say, the evening sky opened to unleash a monsoon. But sometimes unplanned circumstances help foster something great. It just so happened that the officiant, Penny Reynolds, had stopped by Sanctuary Hall & Gardens to visit a friend just before the rain started to fall. Without hesitation, Sanctuary Hall & Gardens offered the venue to use for the ceremony. As close friends and family gathered together to witness Joy and David exchange vows, the sky finally cleared. This break in the rain offered a second chance at portraits in Downtown Charleston and we managed to create some lovely images as the sun set for the evening. Congratulations Joy and David!
