Loubna’s and Hannibal’s love story begins at a cafe overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the south side of Lebanon. In Hannibal’s last days on holiday, a family friend setup the coffee date. This brief meeting led to another date that ended up lasting 9-hours, much of which was spent walking the streets of downtown Beirut. From there the pair began a long distance relationship. In November 2012, Hannibal and his parents traveled to Sidon so that he could traditionally propose to Loubna. Planning a wedding an ocean away was not easy, but fortunately, Hannibal’s sister aided in making the arrangements. Loubna and Hannibal decided on a destination wedding at the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation. Their December soiree was an intimate affair with some immediate family and a few close friends. The bride walked down the aisle to Arabic music, and Hannibal’s brother officiated the ceremony. Before exchanging vows, Hannibal’s godparents read an excerpt from When Harry Met Sally, specifically the scene where Harry declares his love for Sally – a perfect choice for a movie buff like the groom. The couple wanted a traditional yet simple chic wedding. White and soft pink hues were the floral design inspiration. After some mingling, everyone enjoyed a classic dinner prepared by Duvall. Miniature sweets including pecan pies, pralines, and cupcakes were served along with a two-tiered wedding cake. The newlyweds then concluded their wedding with all the guests on the dance floor, dancing away to an eclectic playlist of oldies (but goodies) and Arabic music. Congratulations Loubna and Hannibal!
