I’m excited to share some of my favorite photos from Sarah and Chris’ Folly Beach wedding!
A northern gal and a southern guy met while vacationing on a Carnival cruise ship. Specifically while in the port of Ochos Rios at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. Chris sent over a complimentary cocktail and their love story officially began. After one year of long distance dating, Sarah moved south and eventually the couple settled into Asheville along with Chris’ three sons. After seven years together, Chris proposed to Sarah while they hiked a path along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
For their Folly Beach wedding, the couple wanted a relaxed yet festive affair. Sarah said she envisioned a beach glam, sexy Havana night theme. Light ethereal colors of blush, coral, ivory and gold accents were used in floral design and decor. The large pink Doreen peonies and blush roses offered a soft, romantic elements on the rustic family style tables. Sarah’s ivory and gold embellished gown is the quintessential vision of elegant.
After a mid-afternoon beach ceremony, everyone gathered at the Pelican Watch Shelter for a lowcountry meal by Jubilee Catering and plenty of libations. The couple’s friend, Tommy Calloway, mixed the music while everyone danced under strings of cafe lights. Sarah and Chris’ wedding night was a picturesque beachside party celebrating with their closest friends and family. Congrats to Sarah and Chris!
